The definition as supplied by wikipedia seems ok to me.

Definition: "A dungeon crawl is a type of scenario in fantasy role-playing games in which heroes navigate a labyrinthine environment, battling various monsters and looting any treasure they may find."

I'd say NetHack, just because it's taken up a good deal of my previous 2 weekends.


Mabinogi is pretty good too in terms of Dungeon Crawling, but I wouldn't say it's better than specialized games like NetHack/Diablo/Gauntlet.

The definition as supplied by wikipedia is pretty vague so I'd imagine a lot of games which you wouldn't expect can show up in their list. The list is just a reference to help jog memories.
