So I watched the first four episodes of Buso Renkin last night. I figured I might as well give it a try, I have nothing better to do with my time.
Unfortunately, this title has gone to opposite way to Inuyasha. Instead of recapping every episode thus far, they decided to re-explain points that had just been explained, several times, at great length, whether you want them to or not.
I'm fairly sure from the first to forth episode, they only changed every second sentence. You can make a drinking game out of this anime, every time they say "that's the power of (his/my) Buso Renkin", take a shot. Unfortunately, you'd be dead from alcohol poisoning by the third episode.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for filler, but I'd much rather listen to corny anime-themed Japanese music with a bunch of dancing girls every time they need something to bridge gaps. Sure, it has nothing to do with anything that's just happened, but it wouldn't bore me to tears, and is easier to skip without suddenly missing key plot points.
Seriously, I'd prefer this for filler.
(Sexual References... I think)
Yes, I'm also aware the song is Swedish.
Other than that small complaint, it doesn't bother me. The male protagonists inherit stupidity tends to annoy me less than your average comic relief character. Unfortunately, the comic relief character appears to be one of his friends, but I can't be certain only four episodes in. But on the plus side, the females keep referring to him as a pervert, and he's already tried to give the protagonist a porn magazine. This is a bonus.
At the moment, the series can go either way. Once I've either watched it all, or at the very least, as much as I can tolerate, I'll give a better review about it.

On the bright side, Inuyasha: The Final Act is being aired. I don't know if it's available legally in your neck of the world though.

Not yet, and I'll probably skip the television broadcast and just wait for my brother to buy the DVDs.
|
Mmmm, Inuyasha. That brings me back. Despite the story refusing to ever approach a conclusion, the episodes can be fun to watch. Then again, it might be a more frustrating experience if you have the DVDs and watch the episodes consecutively as opposed to the catching the odd episode once a week.
Anywho, thanks for the video. Best three minutes of my week so far (blasted midterms!) |
Tiberath, the anime you're watching now is pretty good. I finished it awhile back, and I enjoyed the ending.
|
The dialogue changed slightly in the second disc:
You're a bad guy! I'll splatter your guts! Your guts will be so splattered! I'm talking some serious splattering of guts going on here. In case I still have not yet made myself clear, my intention is to in fact the complete and utter splattering of your guts! Seriously, I will splatter your guts! |

Hahaha, unless the version you are watching has been majorly edited, I am going to say this.
PREPARE FOR SOME FABULOUS GAY. |

Inuyasha is the same bullshit.
"Yay, I've killed Naraku!" a few filler episodes and wam, "NARAKU IS BAK WDF I TOUT I KILLED HIS ASS" What that happened like... 100 times? |
Clearly you haven't seen Inuyasha...
I can count two times that scenario played out, once in a movie and once in the series. That leaves you 98 more times to explain. <.< |

I'm sure he'll finally get him in the next ~100 or so episodes they're making. then I wake up and instantly start cutting myself to find out it was all a dream and that Hannah Montana didn't get laid yet... Isn't she like, fifteen or something? |

I've never been a fan of anime, however I've attempted to watch a few. I tried watching InuYasha several times, but I find the characters highly aggravating. I can't stand watching anime that has annoying characters in it.

I always used to think she was over-rated until like last night. she's bangin' ;) anime-related though; if you want to watch something, I'm going to suggest 'Now and then here and there'. it's only like 12 episodes long but it was enjoyable. the main character is annoyin' at first but you soon come to like him. one of the most under-rated animes, imo. |

That was shown on Ani-Monday, right? Good series, kinda sad. |
I'm limited to the anime my brother buys, I'll forward it to him, he wont stop until he owns every anime series ever.
