well since you have a birds eyes of view you have to icon everything based on that
so your eye could be the sun definition to
i mean there are a lot of ways to light 1 object and i see most people pick top
was more or less referring to that
anyways thanks for the extra lesson
Soniow, while this isn't art worthy of worship or anything, I hope it can help you a little with shading and anatomy. I would leave this to someone more capable, but no one seems to be taking those matters into their own hands, so here you go:

I used your colors, made this, then changed those ugly colors to something a little more eye-friendly (although I'm not the best color-picker myself). I suggest looking up some pallets, because it isn't illegal or anything to use the same colors that someone else used. It will speed things up considerably for you. You still need to take your time, though.
aaah there now i see why top lighting for most
very nice remake i'll shush now :p
Ok thank you ill make a new version with better shadeing and look up how stuff looks in a "Birds eye-view so i can get the correct view of houses and stuff
I said "birds-eye view" as a way to express a general area. BYOND supports many views, such as top-down, isometric, and side_map. The thing these have in common is that the eye is always above the player in some way, unless you simulate it otherwise (i.e. a sidescroller). You just need to decide what perspective you want and keep it consistent throughout your game's artwork.

so it can be a mixture of a top-down view mixed with isometric buildings ?

Btw here the new base test

No. Look up what isometric is. Views don't mix. You don't do isometric buildings and top-down players - it just doesn't look right. You have to be consistent.

Btw here the new base test
All I see different is a line of lighter shade on the top of the head and random shading on the hands. Thin up the arms and legs and get him into a correct position before even bothering with shading.
sorry was trying to make it quick for some reason and i know what isometric so thank you anyway is my top-down house good ? no one didnt talk about it
What top-down house?
the house i did ? is it good ? or bad
Are you sure you know what isometric is? Because that house is isometric, not top-down.
the house on the first post ? i know the big house is isometric
You cant mix the two...
The dithering doesn't look good.
Can't have a game without a dojo.

Also, why does he look high? Stoned characters in video games do not set a good example for our youth and I hereby demand you make sober bases only.

i agreed i dont know where to put shadeing that good and thx imeasurable for tellin me and ;troll it anit noting wrong with being stoned by friend if god made it he must was use to use it
That's gotta be the absolute worst excuse for a base I've ever seen. Are your ankles, forearms, and hands all the width of your thighs? Do your eyebrows extend to the top of your head? You either have a LOT to learn or you're trolling.
you seem like a troll

anatomy? lol.... erm. The anatomy here is wonky. so is the shading and palettee because there is no outline or contrast... but alright then

I hope you read the rest of my post, which would show you how pointless this post was. I did that because no one else was helping, and I admitted it wasn't the best.
I also said I wasn't the best color picker, just that mine were a bit better than his. Also, what do you mean there is no outline? It's pretty clear.
