OK, I'm looking for quality and good satisfaction. I already know that 360 has the red ring, but most of my friends have a 360. PS3's internet is free though... I really don't know what to choose. I've heard 360 takes batteries and PS3's charges... I would choose PS3 on that... So I'm makin' a list for each ones pros and cons... can some people help me create the list? Which do you think I should have? Why? Lalalala

Stop being silly, Yammen.
Killzone 2, Resistance 2, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Flower, Fat Princess, Rachet and Clank: Tools of Destruction aren't good games? What? Uncharted 2 which releases in 6 days is a phenomenal experience. I've been taking part of the beta/demo for the past few months and this game is for real, oh, and it's also sporting a 97 metacritic and being hailed as one of the best games this generation... but I guess that doesn't count for anything. The PS3 has a plethora of great exclusives and so does the Xbox 360, whats with all the hate? |
Saying either console doesn't have good exclusive games is retarded.
Other Pros for the PS3 are that it's more than just a game machine; whether that concerns you or not. It's a great multimedia package in itself but that wouldn't matter if you're just into gaming. Also, looking at both console's future line-up, I say the PS3 has better games coming out as well. |
Why would you consider the red ring as a con? I've had my xbox 360 for going on 3 years now and I still have the same one. If mine didn't get it, the new ones definitely won't. It's so stupid people are still complaining about this when it doesn't happen anymore.
|
The biggest point is that the 360 seems to have more good exclusive games than the PS3.
|
I have a 360. There are no games that make me say I really need a ps3. Ps3 may be better as a console but if you're looking to actually play games then the 360 is better. Can't beat the online experience.

Lawl lawl. You guys say exclusive games like they MEAN something. I don't care if the 360 has Halo, if I'm not into Halo, why should I care? Most of these exclusives you're talking about are first person shooters and RPGs, honestly 007: Goldeneye for 64 is still my favorite all time First person shooter.
I'm into the new consoles because KOEI is moving to newer consoles. I'm a huge KOEI fan, so really these exclusives don't enlighten me much. I want whichever system will provide me with the satisfaction, durability, and greater gameplay experience of Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. So there's no reason to throw exclusive games into this. When I was lookin' at the selection of XBOX 360 games with my friend at gamestop, none of them really appealed to me, especially since probably more than half of them I couldn't buy due to the M rating. I think the PS3 just got to a rocky start. It's little future wand feature has me thinkin' good things. At least it's something ORIGINAL. Yea 360 is copyin' eyetoy =P |
I have all the systems that came out so far except the really old ones Id have to say Xbox 360 yeah much better games if your looking for Good Quaility Pick PS3 Do and i was first on byond to find Out about RROD I Posted on my site but then Riku took it from me.hes a son of a bitch

So, I'm pretty sure that Ganing just polled everyone for their opinions, and then said that he doesn't give a fuck about our opinions. Awesome. Nay.

Everyones opinion was almost the same, everyone talked about GOOD games. Or at least, games they think are good. I wanted to know what I'm getting besides a console. |

It depends on whether you want to play with your friends or not. Thats the biggest reason i got a 360. Honestly though, id go for the ps3.
While xbox 360 undoubtedly has a better online experience for games, it doesnt have an internet browser like the ps3 does, and the ps3s online quality is definitely increasing. They can read my HDDs now (and i can watch all my anime through them.) The 360 isnt anything to sleep on either, especially the online experience. You can of course listen to music while playing games (which i havnt figured out how to do on my ps3 yet, but it can do this too), chat with friends while playing games, and a few other cool things. I dont know if its me or not, but i also prefer the ps3 store over the marketplace. But 360 also has netflix built in, which is pretty cool. And i agree with T3h B4tman's post. |
don't bother with the 360 i have had mine 2 years and it has broke at least 7 times and the ps3 has firefox
down side is that it can't play ps2 games |

Whereas the 60gb ps3 you may need to buy second hand but still you get ps2 games to play on it. And it's not firefox. |
The 360 may be notorious for the RRoD, but the problem should mostly be gone now, at least in newer consoles.
The 360s being produced right now are using the jasper revision of the motherboard. The GPU is smaller and lets off less heat, meaning the RRoD isn't likely to happen.
The most common cause for the RRoD is the heat causing the solder to fuck up for the GPU or scaler chip. With the heat reduction, this shouldn't happen.
Also, you can get a wired controller for the 360, or get a pack to make the wireless ones rechargeable.
If I were you though, I would just save that money and build a gaming computer. I use to go for consoles all the time, but when I built my gaming rig, I hardly play on my 360 anymore. It's covered in dust.
