Morbidly obese maybe, but not wimpy. Grief you constantly? You're the one who started this mess. Don't play the victim when you go around instigating fights. This isn't even on topic anymore. |

Just like with the 2MB resource limit, you try to hook people into fighting with you because you feed on the bickering. Without it your ego will deflate and you'll realize how lame you are for calling people fat on the internet. And yes, $15 is a very good deal for Left 4 Dead 2. However, I do not believe expansions should ever cost the same as full games. |

Is Left 4 Dead 2 an expansion or a sequel? (I don't know anything about L4D as I've never played it, or witnessed it being played. I just know it's about zombies.) |

In reality it's a stand-alone expansion you don't need the original in order to play. To put it simply there are new weapons, new zombie types, new maps, and a new cast. |

You do much better when you're misquoting people in an attempt to troll them. SuperAntx wrote: You post this crap in order to get a reaction out of people. Indeed. I'll keep in mind the fact that you're poor in case I feel the need to get you all riled up again in the future. Despite your claim that you "know my intentions", I really struck a nerve with that one! Tiberath: Is Left 4 Dead 2 an expansion or a sequel? It's a sequel. It's raised a small fuss online because poor, entitled gamers like SuperAntx think that all "new content" should be made available as DLC for free, or at a huge discount. Example: If Zelda: Majora's Mask had come out in the DLC age, the same types of people would have been up in arms demanding to pay less for it. |
My judgement on whether or not the price of L4D2 being fair or not would be based on the amount of new content being released. If it matches or is greater than the amount of content for L4D, then why not sell it at the same price?
Does a game engine really have to be changed in order to justify the price? |

At least your intentions are clear now. ;) It's raised a small fuss online because poor, entitled gamers like SuperAntx think that all "new content" should be made available as DLC for free, or at a huge discount. I never said free or huge discount, but you do much better when you're misquoting people in an attempt to troll them! I said it shouldn't cost the same as a full-fledged game. Games sell for less than $60 all the time and DLC is a great way to add to an existing game. Example: If Zelda: Majora's Mask had come out in the DLC age, the same types of people would have been up in arms demanding to pay less for it. But you see, it didn't come out in the DLC age and you can't really hold it to today's standards. |

The game engine actually was changed quite significantly, that's why they couldn't release it as a series of expansion packs. L4D2 will have more content than L4D excluding the cross over content(as I understand it the original 4 movies will be included in L4D2). Ask any of the people who have played it and it is more than an expansion pack. Valve is normally great about after sale DLC, and I'll admit that they kinda fell behind with DLC on this(even the mod tools took ages to be released), but I don't feel that this affects L4D2, I just wont expect TF2ish DLC out of it. |
Left 4 Dead 2 comes with new characters, weapons, zombie types, campaigns, and a completely different style of gameplay.
Why isn't L4D2 a L4D add-on? For the same reason Halo 2 isn't a Halo 1 add-on. Just because the graphics are the same, doesn't mean the system is. Do I think that L4D2 is worth the purchase? No, not when it's released. Games are way to expensive these days. However, you have 3 choices, you can buy the game at that price, you can wait until it's cheaper, or you can shut the fuck up and go play your NES. I choose to do 3 until I can do 2. |
wow, SAx. i've never seen such concentrated amounts of whiny, self-entitled bitching in one place before

I wont buy it because I don't think there's enough change to warrant an entire new game. Whether you agree with me or not, I don't care. It's just my opinion and it shouldn't upset you. |

Sounds to me like there shouldn't be a problem with releasing L4D2 as it's own game, at full price. If I was in a position to purchase games, and had played and enjoyed L4D, chances are I wouldn't complain about L4D2's price. |
