The lighting direction (from bottom-left) looks very weird, and only works from a couple scenarios. (Perhaps on a mountain peak or cliff during sunrise/sunset or a campfire at night.)
I like the spiral design it has going, though! Did you use a reference? | |

It's good to use a reference, unless you're already an expert at what you're drawing. Anything you draw is just a modification of an existing thing in real life. Have you ever heard the phrase, 'draw what you see, not what you know?' It's a fundamental understanding an artist must have.
EDIT: This does not mean 'tracing.' It has nothing to do with 'free-handing.' | |

Just saying... It's not necessarily about making it easier. A reference helps with accuracy.
