I am sorry for your loss Mike. I have had two dogs who have died. Recently, both of my friends dogs have died, out of the blue, both very young and many years ahead of them. We think they died from the bird flu, from eating something outside. That might have happened to your cat. If your cat was outside, then it might have eaten something and gotten the bird flu (especially in the rain).

u have my deepest symathies. losing a pet is hard and all i can say is stay strong, and this is kinda corny but its true, time heals all wounds, except terminal illnesses.

I greatly emphasize with you, I have lost quite a few pets, all of them I loved, I had to leave my cats and dog in Virginia when I moved to Maine and I won't ever forget them and about two years later I lost another cat I had whom was older than I was, but still seemed healthy at the time up until when she died of pneumonia.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I recently lost an animal too. My dog's name was Sohpie, and she saved my life as a child many times, but only to die an unnatural death in my neighbor's pool overnight. I wish all of your animals good lives along with you, I can completely emphasize with you and what you are feeling.

I'm sorry for your loss, Mike. I remember when you first introduced Kinder to all of us. It's amazing how pets weave together different stages in your life. I know you cherish this precious strand.
