Make a little battle game. Everytime you're going to give a membership out, everyone makes a new character and they have like 10 points to put into different stats. The winner of the tournament will get the membership. :D
Or maybe find a game like LRS, or Feval or something and have tournaments on them to see who wins.

yeah like have a designated game, that you tell everyone to go to, and every month they go to that game and have the month to train their char then you do a big tourney, and whoever wins gets it then you wipe and start again

Give it to developers, like how you've been doing.
Look over The tech tree, and the RPG news to see who's doing what and how much of it. The Pixel art Guild also almost always has a contest running, winners might be another choice. | |
Tayoko might be on to something. It'll do more than just get someone a membership, it will give people motivation to learn pixel art, maybe host a competition a month, and have various programmers and pixel artists judge.
I don't actually need a membership, so I would be a judge. :D | |

Alright! Im back online :) My brother finally brought over the Wireless Setup CD and I installed it so now I can get on my comp again o_O what I don't know is why doesn't WindowsXP just include a damn Internet Connection...

I'd suggest you just get everyone on dirge once its done with the new virsion and make a starter character tourniment where everybody just starts out no stats but enough to do about thirty damage and five hundred health points... entertaining, fun and you get more members in your game....

If you're going to keep giving them out I suggest just giving it to the people who can't get membership(being poor, etc) whom you think that is really dedicated to BYOND.
