What I like about Universe of Comics (from here forth referred to as UoC!)

The game let's me create a character of any kind, fully to my own liking, with the only restriction being that nobody should be ridiculously and unfairly powerful* - a rule I'm extremely happy to follow as it maintains a competitive atmosphere between the heroes and the villains.

*The exception is obviously certain event characters, the presence of which I've heard fairly called "debatable", but even they allow us some really wicked action scenes and to unite as RPers against a common foe!

From looks to powers and origin, I'm allowed to craft my own presence in the game world and advance on that through interacting with other players.
This can then be displayed to all other players through my character profile, both in-game and on the UoC forums.

In addition to this the game allows an interesting variety of places to be in, but of course mainly the Metropolis city. A truly vast and extensive in-game world would isolate it's player base far too much. Here people are placed together for easier interaction and continuous RPing.

It's a smaller point, yet in no way invalid, but I can say that I am able to further customize my in-game icon by buying clothes and weapons. These my character can wear in order to better express the current outfit and threat of my character to other players.

The "powergrid" stats system allows a quick assessment of the capabilities of other characters you are RPing with. You can be sure that things will be kept fair when people are given this particular focus on the strengths, weaknesses and limits of their characters.

And if things are not fair, unjust or outright mean and unreasonable? The RPM team is always at hand!

I find myself on a daily basis chatting to the folks at UoC that make the game run and let me experience it all.
From the genuinely pleasant to the downright quirky the people in charge are a great bunch who the players are able to socialize with, and consequently also roleplay with.
It is this same team that gives us story updates and keep things interesting when the players just can't mingle.

These folks are not robots. They're actual people a player can easily relate to and feel comfortable talking with.
(Psst, did you also know that they're super models? I'm not kidding!)

The team, in combination with all the assistance provided through the UoC forums, make it very easy to get into the game.
In fact, with the amount of information given from the first moments of logging in I find myself able to help other newbies with their most common concerns - such as finding their way around Metropolis city. (Help>Map and now, Rheia's NPC finding guide!)

To expand on the forums of UoC, I can say that the needed facilities are very much in place. From general discussion (more on this later) and suggestions to the beloved area where you submit characters bios, and (my new favorite) the art section - the forums allow us a great bit of interaction outside the in-game world.

The mentioned assistance provided through the forums comes in the form of guides which are starting to get quite numerous.
Something I now find quite important for new players is our guides on RPing and the nature of Heroes and Villains in comic book lore. Reading these allows a person to focus on their RPing and gives particular attention to how they should act within the confines of their character(s).

Next I will take a moment to talk about the UoC community.
Not only do I find myself interacting with several capable RPers every afternoon I log online, but outside the roleplays these people are fun-tastic.
When not too busy with our roleplay, there is server-wide chit-chat through the OOC channel. And the banter with some of these guys is HILARIOUS.
The people I regularly see online are good people and make it fun to RP in UoC. Thumbs up to you, community!

The RPing environment is always casual enough to include everyone, and never so hardcore that we will have to abandon more inexperienced or shy individuals. Yet it's involved enough to allow for excellent role play between all those online, by their own choice of course. Nothing is forced.

At this point I'm my writing, I actually happened to log into the game, and have become too distracted to keep my thoughts on the same track. ^.^;

I'll end by commenting on the size of the community.
More than anything, it can get unfortunately low ]: The general forum discussion has minimal interaction due to there just not being many people involved there. I see a great group of people online daily, and actually new folks every now and then, but there still isn't a mass of people around.

That is why, I invite everyone to join ! ^^
UoC is an enjoyable role playing environment and the people there tend to make the effort to make it so for everyone.
If you come online, and are instead faced by meanies, come see me! ^^ I have cookies!
