Ive been been working on recoding another game lost in the great computer death of '05, and I figured I'd show a couple of screen shots. Basically, the game is a turn based free for all for up to four players. The game is played in turns, five rounds per turn. Preceding each turn, players select an action to perform during each round. Once everyone has finished selecting their five actions, the turn begins.
This screenshot shows the tracking marks that assist you in keeping track of your position and direction when selecting your actions for the upcoming turn. You have to remember, actions always occur in the direction you will be facing at the time they occur, not necessarily the direction you are currently facing.
Here, a wizard successfully hits multiple targets with his fireball attack. The images to the left of the players names are the actions they are performing during the current round.
Textmode is mostly supported, though I need to clean a few things up, and I don't think the 'Join game' input dialog works in Linux DS. I'm pretty sure someone has a library for that, but I haven't found it yet.
I'm just about to the point of near playability where I usually quit development on projects, so I figured I'd at least get some tangible record of it's existence out there somewhere. :P

I remember this game! Hope it turns out well :)

Did the barbarian replace the knight or is it a whole new class? Either way, I like it. =)

It's a new class. I've got four so far: Knight, Archer, Wizard, and Barbarian. I've got a couple others planned out, though not drawn or coded yet. I'd like to make a total of twelve or so, one or two free, four or five membership based, and the rest subscription based. We'll see :P
