Indeed. With the new "ability" to "reattach" posts to new threads, then to other threads, I see no reason to continue deleting posts, unless they are "+1" in length, when I may simply move them to a thread that is hidden from the forums.

Yeah, I gave up after you couldn't keep the discussion in the thread that I had designated for it. I was offline for twenty four hours and you guys mannaged to have my post kicked from the Game Updates, in which case, fuck all of you.

Incompetent moderators are incompetent. Stifling legitimate discussion is unacceptable, regardless of where it may be taking place, especially now that they can move content. Deleting posts AFTER the topic has already been hidden seems even less sensible.
