If it is your first time logging into an old key on a system, it will not save the password even if that option is checked.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Erase your key file in the BYOND folder, then login and check save password before logging in with that key again, it doesn't save the password the first time, but seems to work fine afterwards.
