Descriptive Problem Summary:
Randomly the Dream Daemon gets a not responding error.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
This occurs randomly with no apparant cause. No bugs are reported before hand and seems to occur when the game has been up for awhile.

Code Snippet (if applicable) to Reproduce Problem:
None.

Expected Results:
The Dream Daemon shouldn't be crashing.

Actual Results:
The Dream Daemon is crashing. (Dream Seeker as well.)

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? Every time.
In other games? I heard of this occuring in Final Fantasy Legacy as well.
In other user accounts? Yes.
On other computers? Yes.

When does the problem NOT occur?
It hasn't not occured since a few updates ago.

Workarounds:
There are no workarounds as far as I can tell.

I wasn't sure what else to say. I've thought this was only our problem until I heard it happening in other games. I know I didn't post a whole lot of information but I don't know what else I can do about it.
More information is needed to reproduce this issue. In particular it is important to know which game this happens in (it has to be one that can be downloaded, to be tested), and any information that can be provided about what events occurs leading up to the freeze.

If you can pinpoint the last version where this issue didn't happen, and the first one where it did, that would also be helpful.

This is particularly useful information. You can download old versions at http://www.byond.com/download/build.
It'll take me some time to figure out which version started to cause the lockup since the freeze time varies. As for the leading up to it part, I don't think I can answer that since it's so random and I've fixed various errors trying to figure it out myself. I will however at least try to get a version when it wasn't freezing.

Well it would appear it has been occuring in other games as well since Android posted a similar bug. I've downgraded to 445 and found that dreamdaemon no longer seems to be crashing. Going by his statements it would seem to occur between 447 and 448.
This may be the same flick() bug that was crashing in 448.1029 (but not in 448.1030). Try the newest 449 and let us know if it works.

I'll be sure to try it tomorrow, I want to make sure that the game won't crash in it's current version (445) tonight. Tomorrow I'll test it out on 449 to see if it crashes.
It appears that 449 has fixed this issue. I've hosted for a full 12 hours so far and no crash.
I thought that this was a duplicate but the game started crashing once again recently. The most random crash so far since the game was up for over 24 hours. I'm currently still checking which BYOND version started the crash and am now gonna try 445.
