I'll be going to PSU Altoona starting on August 24 for a major in computer science, and I am (or at least should be) enrolled in the college of engineering there. I'm not actually taking a comp. sci. course until the spring because the course I need to take is only offered then, and that particular course is the pre-requisite for all the other comp. sci. courses.

o Chem 110: Chemical Principles I — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM, and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 4:50 PM.
o Math 041: Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry* — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM, and Thursday from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM.
o English 030S: Honors Freshman Composition — Tuesday and Thursday from 9:25 AM to 10:40 AM.
o English 50: Introduction to Creative Writing — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM.
o Am St 100: Introduction to American Studies — Tuesday and Thursday from 4:05 PM to 5:20 PM.

Huzzah for managing to schedule classes that doesn't much interfere with work (which is on-campus), gives me free afternoons, and gives me free weekends. That gives me all the more time to study and do work**.

* I may be looking into switching this to another class.

If you don't need to take chemistry for your major you shouldn't. I'm not sure if your engineering program does, I think at my school it's required. It's a lot tougher than high school chem/AP chem. I needed to actually study. I'm taking organic chemistry this upcoming semester, say goodbye to my social life.
Not for my major, but I'm taking it to fill credit requirements.
Everybody should take Chemistry anyway. It's incredibly useful to know, and Organic Chemistry is one of the only fun classes I've had.
I'd kill myself if I had to take "Intro to Creative Writing" or "intro to American Studies".

<3 Engineering schools
I took them both because there are arts and humanities gen. eds to do, but I'd've probably tried to take the creative writing course anyways. :P
Math 041: Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry*

Did you take a placement exam for that?
Yea, which I did terrible at because I haven't done trig in more than a year. I could've gotten into a calculus course, but this one apparently has an introduction to calculus as well, and I've never taken calculus.
Seems you placed about as well as I did, but that's been three years now. Have fun with Calc and hope that your professors don't give you 3 hours of homework three times a week like mine did! :P
Heh, I'm attending the place in LA that Thief Jack is attenting.

English 1A - Reading and Composition
CSCI-1 - Problem Solving/Program Design C++
Math 191 - Multivariable Calculus/Analytical Geometry II
Physics 1A - Mechanics of Solids (Because my physics AP test didn't count for shit.)

fuckerr.
