So, I've started reading this book. It's called "The World Treasury of Physics, Astronomy, and Mathematics"; I think that's what it's called. I'm reading it, and I start looking at what we humans have accomplished in so little time. I'm thinking "Humans are awesome, man!".
About an hour or so later I go into a Yahoo chatroom(I have not used Yahoo much lately, and I wanted to see if the chatrooms were any different). It's called "Role Playing Games". The first message I see:
jeeps4fun: any slave girls here?
I've taken back my "Humans are awesome, man!" thought.

Life on Earth evolved beyond chat/forum portal "roleplaying" by approximately the 3rd generation of single-celled proto-lifeforms. Then we had to go and devolve back to it.

To quote Bill Hicks:
"I'm tired of this backslapping 'ain't humanity neat' bullshit. We're a virus with shoes." |
