Yes, I been working on Dragon Warrior games for a while but now it's time to tame another beast. Final Fantasy. Keeping true with the 8 bit theme that was started back with Dragon Warrior: Shadows of Erdrick this uses graphics and sounds in 8 bit. Some edited from later games.
Ok some statics on the game.
System work is like 95% finished.
Graphic work is like 95% finished.
Play time and content is like 5% finished.
System work will finish once a few more bugs are fixed and the rest will be added along with the content. Graphic work will be finished once a few missing icons are added and as monsters as added as content finishes. Content will be the main focus here after a day or two (as that is the time needed to fix the rest of the major bugs).
If you enjoy Final Fantasy stop on in and post in the forums with your suggestions to help improve the game or just give your honest opinion. We want to make this game as enjoyable as we can.
I don't see a new game button or any way to play it...

Oh sorry, here is the hub page http://www.byond.com/games/Dpheonix7/ FinalFantasyLegendoftheCrystals. It is live 24/7 or whenever the hosts computer isnt having issues. You can join through there.
no, i meant like once in the game, on the login screen. I can't seem to see a way to enter. There's no commands and clicking the screen doesn't work.

Oh, good point. .center is the way to enter. I guess it could use a "Hit Center" on the title.
Oh, yeah, I have a suggestion.

I'm not sure if they still use the numpad 5 for the .center macro. Anyways, most laptops don't have numpads, so I would make the options click-able or able to be selected with the spacebar or something as well.

I am a laptop user and this had lead me to using the idea of southeast also doing the job of center

Why don't you just create a macro in the skin that makes hitting spacebar call .center. That way everyone wins (also, you should note that on the login screen).

All sounds good, but i dont know about space bar, I can see people trying to talk during menus and accidently hitting a command they didnt want
Not bad, I played it for a little bit. Than lost my interest and left. It'd be nice if you tried to be a bit more unique, I'm sure there is things that makes your Final Fantasy game different. But it's nice to see people adding things that other games don't have. What would be a unique thing to add, I'm unsure.

But there is things that could make your game stand out from the crowd, just think and try to do it. If you do actually add some unique and cool features that aren't seen often, than I'm sure the players would appreciate it.

Random Example: Every Final Fantasy game I see on BYOND you pick a class, maybe change the color to how you look, you're done. It'd be nice to have some sort of customization for your character. Like actually making your own outfit. It's a stupid idea, but it'd be kind of cool to see.
Yeah, I'd like to be my own character.

As much as custom looks would be cool, that would require the hiring of a graphic artist that can do FF3j type character sprites. Being heavily based off FF3 and FF6 systems with FF3 graphics has put some restrictions on what can and cannot be done. We are always looking for things to add apart from the story system (which is still being wrote out to work well). The game is ment to look and feel like it was released on the famicon/Nes shorty during the time FF3 and FF4 came out.
