I've been having a problem for quite a while, and well i'm sick and tired of it. I've done everything that I have found so far on forums and from friends. I've port forwarded and the rule shows up in my ports list. (I have verizon fios with a Actiontec MI424-WR Rev.C Router) I allowed the port on my firewall and i've even tried turning it off (although some reason I can't). I plugged in my ethernet cable and tried to use that instead of my wireless and it just won't work. I Have a static IP adress and everything but my ports aren't allowed to be opened. I used PFPortchecker and it says my port can't be reached either. I don't know what else I can do short of calling verizon. I simply want to host and I can't. If you can help me please post.
Are you pointing the PORT's to the correct lan address?

eg 192.168.1.1 ?

You can find your lan address for the PC you are on by opening up Command Prompt and typing in ipconfig.

I'm positive that I am, I have been for quite a long time and i've tried this tons of times. All the little basic things like that i've checked and done over and over..I just want to know if there is anything else...you know. My lan ip adress is forwarded to the right place. But i'm using a labtop so I set it up for ethernet and wireless and neither work. Both have the proper static lan Ip Adress.

So the ports are forwarded and it says everything is ok, Who is trying to join?

Are you trying to join your own game hosted on the same PC? or from one PC to another on the same home connection?

If this ^ is the case use the LAN ip to join from another PC if you are trying to join the game and host on the same PC using DreamDaemon login with 127.0.0.1:PORT or localhost:PORT

Or are other people trying to join but can't?

No it like won't allow me to even host. I did everything I need to do and it REFUSED to allow me to connect to port. It may be my firewall but I already portforwarded through that.

I don't understand what you mean ..

Have you tried hosting via DreamDaemon?
In response to A.T.H.K
Yes i'm hosting via dream daemon. I set up everything the Port is forwarded, the firewall is forwarded, Dream daemon is up and the ip is static everything you need to do...and yet it STILL won't work. SO if you can list the steps for me that would be great cause i'm POSITIVE I did nothign wrong. FYI i used PFPortChecker and it says the port is not open.

One thing you should try is making sure you can join on a local port. In Dream Daemon, click the yellow merge icon to join the game. It should connect to localhost:port. If that fails, then you definitely have a firewall interfering. If it succeeds, then your port forwarding is probably not configured correctly.

It lets me and says i'm logged in but the game won't pop up. It lets me join but not like literally play the game alone.
Nevermind I can log in to my own game, and I forwarded the port correctly it's just like it won't go through. With my firewall( I have windows 7) it says that I portforwarded the port correctly.
If you are that desperate to host try BYONDPanel.com

I'm not DESPERATE to host, so i'm not willing to pay but I just want any help I can get on other things I can do. I just haven't gone as far as to ask for a computer technician's help because my father, who does stuff like this, does not trust byond and found viruses on it, so I play this on my "trash" computer and well it doesn't host too well and I know my dad would only get mad. So i wanted some help without going to him.
Are sure the router is correctly configured on your network so that it allows the port to be forwarded? Otherwise the port will not open.
