i hear alot about these. and it seems its definition would help me play byond. so in these machines do i need the windows cd? cause i dont have one(or id totally be playing on a windows)

Yes, you need a Windows CD to install Windows on a VM (legally anyway).

All a VM does is mimic computer hardware so you can run multiple Operating Systems (if you install them) as guests of a host OS. But until you install something on them, they are just as good as an empty hard drive.
