Running BYOND on a Mac with bootcamp, which effectively converts a part of the hard-drive into another operating system. In my case, Windoze XP.

Whenever I click "Join game", it starts to "Download resources". This would be fine, if it wasn't so slow. I have to repeatedly restart a download because sometimes it stops downloading completely. No error messages or anything. This obviously stops me from running any games on BYOND. I have gotten it to work once, after nine hours of sitting there downloading and redownloading the damn "Resources".

No I don't use a firewall.
You might have better luck googling bootcamp networking issues. It really does sound like a bootcamp issue to me, perhaps in conjunction with Windows XP drivers.

Bootcamp is a Mac utility, so it's not used with linux. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
I'd say people got confused when you said Mac. When you use bootcamp you are rebooting into Windows so your Mac computer should the same as any Dell or eMachine. It is possible that it is a Mac driver for Windows that is causing the issue, but highly unlikely if everything else works fine.

I recommend clearing your cache and if that doesn't work try hitting up the BYOND Help forums. Make sure to note that you are running Windows native, so the fact that it is a Mac doesn't really matter.
