I'd like a way to change an icon's resolution when it already has frames. Nothing too fancy, just a way to either crop or expand the canvas. It would need a way to dictate which direction(s) the changes should be made in.

I think there is a request to be able to apply some icon operations to all icon states (or to all frames of a state, I forget). If you were able to shift every frame of every icon state in each direction, it wouldn't matter how the canvas was expanded for this feature (which'd make this feature easier to add).

You can do this by calling icon functions in DM and then re-saving the modified icon.

I concur. I usually have to cut all the states/frames, change the size, and then paste...but, with a lot of states/frames, you'd have to delete all of the cut-offs from the old canvas, if you made the canvas smaller.
