I'm not sure if this is even feasable, but what I'd like to do, when a player is using a computer in-game, is simulate a traditional password prompt which substitutes asterisks for the player's keystrokes. Ideally, there would be an input command, the player would type the password into the text box, but what they'd see on their screen is "****" instead of the actual letters.
(It's not a strictly necessary thing, but my playtesters have all pointed out that it breaks versillimitude to not have passwords -- even make-believe ones, properly masked. :) )

If you are using an input:

If you mean in skin. Then all you have to do is check the box with the password beside it in the input box. That will automatically mask it.
