Currently, if we have a lot of states in an icon, we have to individually set the hot spot for each one (which takes pixel precision and time). However, just like we can with frames, perhaps we could set a default hot spot for the icon, and all icon states are created with that hot spot, unless you change it.

I agree. I've found myself slaving away at assigning hotspots quite a few times. This would save a lot of time and effort.

TweakPNG might be a decent alternative, in the meantime.
