I can't even seem to try it. I press one of the arrow keys and it deselects my Byond window. =/

I like it, but the walls gave me problems.
In the training area, I turned into a road leading to a ramp and got stuck in the edge of a wall for a long time. Then, when I got to the ramp, I was too slow and I got stuck on the wall. |
I can't even seem to try it. I press one of the arrow keys and it deselects my Byond window. =/ That happened to me also, but it just grey'd the bar at the top and I could still move. You started a race right? :P I also got stuck in walls a lot when I ran into them you just have to reverse :( I ran into a lot of lag spikes at random times; mostly when I stopped via wall. This may have something to do with my Byond post I just made but oh well It's pretty neat though :P |
Yeah, the walls suck. It's a little silly when you're speeding along at mach 3 and you sideswipe a wall and--dink! You stop completely. Falling into water often seems more forgiving than running into a wall.

The cars have pretty bad tires, too :P I feel like I got a used car instead of a new one to race against these unbeatable AI players with their fancy tires :(

For ACWraith's problem, that's because it's a diagonal which means on odd bounding box.
I guess it would be better for me to lower it's BB range, I made it a little higher to make sure mobs couldn't get through 2 of them without the square walls being next to them. Oh and guys, part of this library is that it uses Ludojwik's (sp?) KeyState. It taking focus off the window is what allows you to press multiple keys at once. It's why I made no command line. |
The KeyState thing is clever, Kunark, and the game owns. :D
Woohooooo! http://members.byond.com/Zaole/files/kunnyrace.PNG |
I just played the demo and I must say it is very impressive, even though the screen is jerky, the car movement is awesome.
When I saw he even had added in ramps and bonuses and stuff, it was like, omg, this is awesome. Too bad on the 2nd ramp I didnt have enough speed, landed on the wall and got stuck. |
Edit:
Also, I wonder if the jumpiness would be improved(certainly not fixed) if you adjusted client/lazy_eye? Anyhow, I have school.
