Wewt! I am typing this message from my DSi's internet browser. I've had my DSi for a few weeks, but it just occured to me to try getting on BYOND with it. Glad it works!!! Anyways, typing is a pain on here, so I'll finish this message. Peace.
Eh, I don't like the DSi that much. It seems pretty much pointless to buy one.
Pointless? How so?

I agree that the lack of a GBA slot is a major hindrance, but that would be the reason I kept my DS Lite. Heh heh.

There's a built in camera, audio recording, the web browser is free when you connect to the shop channel, you get 1000 points free the first time you connect with a new DSi system before October 5th, you can hot swap games (change DS games without having to turn off your system and turning it back on), you can put an SD card (not just MicroSD, a normal SD card). The shop channel doesn't contain much content currently, but there are a few decent games like Dr.Mario to download.

Pretty much, I guess it depends on what you're basing the term "pointless" on.
If you have a normal DS already, purchasing a DSi would be pointless.

-There is already a DS internet browser.

-Being able to hotswap DS games is not much of a signifigant bonus. It saves about 3 seconds of normally switching games manually.

-Camera/Audio recording.. In comparison to things such as video cameras, I just don't see much of a use in this.

-The slightly bigger screen is hardly recognizable. I won't mention the weight of the DS because the DS wasn't "heavy" to begin with.

-The DS shop is an interesing addition. But like I said before, If you're purchasing a DSi just for these minimal features, It seems like a waste.
Just depends on what you like, I guess. I personally like some of the extra features, but that's me. Having two DS's also helps out on some games where having two is beneficial, since I can't always rely on my friends to help me out.

Oh well, you have your opinion and I have mine.

It's DS with extra media and storage. If you're only using the DS for games, you're better off with DS Lite.
