The barred gates have not been locking correctly, and will not lock even with a keychain is used to lock the door. The barred gate uses the lock animation, however the barred gate will open after using the keychain. Further testing has found that other doors are locking correctly.

I think I found the problem. For now, just use the keychain to lock it 2 or 3 times and it will lock.
