First off, I just checked out that ball rolling demo (after seeing it mentioned just now) and that is impressive, Toby!
Well thanks, but your going just a "little" overboard...
I don't think so... I've seen pixel movement (heck, I've just added a simpler form of it to a project of mine) but what I find impressive about this demo is the very tight physics (compared to most pixel movement systems on BYOND) of the ball bouncing off of the walls, and the little dot that moves around the ball to make it look like it's rolling... Both of those touches are a little step above most others...
Date Added: 2/17/08 <-- When it was added... Your kinda late :p
Well, due to having a child and buying a home, I haven't been around here much in the last year or so (just "came back" a few months ago), so this is the first time I've ever seen it...
Well, I'm one of the rare progrommers who instead of using angels to do pixelized movement, I use more of a liniard scale(It's one I understand!). So basicly, to make the fancy physics all I had to do was times the propper variable by -1 to make the ball bounce and then lose speed. It really was simple stuff >.<
But, thanks for the completment I guess XD.. Instead of arguing the point I guess I should just be greatful that I am being aplosed(especially by you, you were making games with elevation(although a simple technique) before I could even process text XD).
Anywho, point being.. Thanks!
