Cheating 101
Everything you need to know to get level 5 in that special game.

Before I begin, I would like to say that anyone who says they can hack in BYOND, is completely retarded, and they can't prove me wrong.

This marks the first of the less-humorous more-interesting B&Wagon posts, the 101 post. The topic of this one is obviously Cheating, and will teach you the ins and outs of commonly pretending to be a 1337 hax0r in your favorite BYOND game. Of course, we'll all know you're retarded. If you're a noob, well, then here's your grail. If you're a developer, doublecheck this and proof your game. Lets begin.

Medal Hax

In some games, mainly these games, which lack hub passwords, you can edit the scores, remove medals, and even add your own medals, very easily I might add, by creating your own DMB. Now, I won't give you the deleter/score editor, but I will give you a granter which is very simple to use.

That can be found here.

The cool part is you don't even really have to give them to your key, you can give them to any key.

GM Hack

People cannot hack GM, if you think someone has done this to you, you're retarded. There's only one way to hack GM, and it's through the dreaded itsme glitch.

The Itsme glitch in action.

Im haxor, I mess with your head.

The best way to convince retarded people that you can hack, is by using HTML in their unprotected rip. Now, normal HTML doesn't work in like 99% of the games you go in. What I like to do, is go into a game and type <style> in regular chat. After that, you pray that it comes out as blank when you enter it in...that means that type of HTML works. Now, in most games (ones with halfway decent owners) it won't work. However, every now and then you find one (like BLH for example, axerob fails)...It will work in regular chat or ooc or something. So after testing it, type

<style>body {background: red}<style> It'll then turn the entire text input-area's background red until someone else talks. It's a cool trick that works 1/10 times.

Theres also crap like

<big>

theres also the color codes which barely ever work

\green,blue,etc..

Bug Hunting

If you're gonna hunt for bugs. Here are the things to look for.

1. Being able to input negative numbers in the input boxes.
2. Being able to open up multiple windows in things like shops..etc..
3. Delays for items when trading/dropping them.

Examples: Being able to input negative numbers in verbs like give-zenni (common in super old zeta rips). You would input a negative number and NEGATIVE + NEGATIVE = POSITIVE, WE KNOW. So giving some guy -292309320932zenni makes him fail and you king of namek.

Also, in mystic journey's older versions (and most hosted versions), theres an item delay when you bank an item. This can easily be used to bank an item, and then logout/drop it before it disappears from your inventory if your timing is right. Works best when you enter the .configure delay command (.configure delay 8 would probably be good).

Cheating Tools
Well, Jitbit Macro Recorder seems to be the popular one nowdays.

Anything that speeds up your CPU. Speedgear, Xspeeder, random speedup programs.

Artmoney (if you're the host.) Very easy to use.

Also, if you're a developer, restrict the older BYOND versions. In some BYOND versions (mostly the ones before 4.0) you could use WPE pro and packet editors. They have since added detection, but there's probably a way to rig it up to where you could play with an older version, or if need be, prevent the newer versions from detecting yours via a DLL editor.

Why your host sucks, and why you should fire him.

Well, if I were to try and get level 5 and over 9000 stats in a game, I would obviously try to bribe the host. Hosts have access to the save files, which can obviously be edited with this. But the average rip host is too stupid nowdays to know what one is, so just tell him if he gives you the files, then you'll edit his too. (Since most people don't even trust their host)

Theres also artmoney, which any host can do, and easily edit their own stats, but the downside is you can only use artmoney when you're hosting.

So hopefully someone learned something from this big waste of time...have fun.
Fixed.

There's also been alot of vandalism already by people other than us because of the medals being so easy to mess with. Hopefully this'll motivate BYOND to change them...I doubt it though.

*Protip: The score editor on the one I gave you doesn't work.
Who in the hell would be pathetic enough
to change thier score?
The one I gave you guys has a verb called score editor, don't think it works though. Medal granter works fine though, grant medals to jesus.

I have another cooler one that can remove medals and edit scores to put text in them and things like that, didn't think that one was appropriate to give out though.
This medal is already getting annoying.
Hahahaha, Man you wasnt kidding when you told me this on MSN lmfao, 1337 Haxx0rnation!

GO BANDWAGON GOOOO!!
Great article. I'll be looking forward to more.. In the mean-time, The Oregon Troll!
wut
tehblobz and murder mansion no longer work with the medal granter...chat probably doesn't work anymore either.
The itsme hack worked.

Also. I have never met this person in my life...
We might put up that better medal program later, with an interface and score editor and whatnot...since the few that we didn't want you messing around with too much are now fixed.

How many games you went on before it did?
Actually I think that was his first one, he was telling me about it on msn.

All you have to do is find a REALLY retarded rip owner.
Yep, my first try. I found a retarded rip and there ya go.
Now I see why I've apparently been playing Hidden Wind Clan for two years... lol

Why the hell is my name up on that?
If a hub entry has no password, anyone can award medals to anyone.

Tom is an honorable ninja.
Wait, does the BA on Bobbyawesome's hat stand for Bobbyawesome or badass?

Yeah, I put that there when I was testing out hubs.
