Descriptive Problem Summary:
For, like, two months now, this has occured:
Say you or your friend rebooted a server. The server and the window freeze completely and becomes eternally unresponsive, unless you end the program by using Task Manager and ending the process of the program.
This will also occur when you're being booted, or when something disrupts the dreamseeker program to the point of closing it, like being booted, banned, or rebooting a server. It just...freezes. Completely. No way to get rid of it unless you can get it gone through task manager.
Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
I have no idea. I have tried clearing my cache file, actually going IN the cache folder to get rid of unused resources, music files and other things, but it didn't work. I also got rid of other things that I didn't need in the BYOND folder but nothing worked....
Code Snippet (if applicable) to Reproduce Problem:
Expected Results:
When rebooted: the server will reboot like instructed.
When booted or banned: you can just click the X button and get out of the dreamseeker program.
Actual Results:
The window completely freezes.
Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? Every time.
In other games? All of them.
In other user accounts? Yes.
On other computers? I don't have another one
When does the problem NOT occur? Excuse me, it always does...
Workarounds:
I really don't know.

What game(s) does this happen on?
|
We really need a version you can verify this with. Also, could you provide us with a runnable test case of code where this happens?

I don't know any codes... and It happens everywhere, I can't help it. It's the dreamseeker program itself, that's the problem. Wait. It happened in... um... Just the recent version. The current one. Yyeeeaaah. It also freezes when you put .ping, .configure, and all that. |

Stephen001 wrote: Maybe your computer is bogged down with alot of junk. Try running an anti-virus scan and throwing a firewall on there. Also, adding some more RAM should help you out alot. It freezing up when you close it or do something sounds like your PC having a lack of resources. Let me guess, it does it on more than one program? Yeah, thought so. |
It doesn't freeze when I close it, just when it's rebooting, when you get booted or banned from a server, when you type in a command such as .ping, .configure, and all that...
Some games won't even let me on. I went to delete some stuff and put a firewall up. I'm going to see if that works. |
