Anyone played the demo? I found myself getting bored of my Xbox. The new content for L4D just came out, but it just wasn't as fun to me seeing all my friends are barely online now and I myself find it hard to play a full versus anymore. Hopefully this summer when finals are over I'll be able to again.
Anyway, I played the demo and I found it really amazing and fun. Honestly, wow. One of the more realistic games and a fighting game at that. The engine is so real you can go down in the first punch if it's right on the chin, though the characters you can feel. When I say feel, I mean if I play Chuck AKA Iceman, you can feel his blows. He is definitely a player to stay with on your feet. While the other player is weaker but can take you to the ground and finish you off.
I've played 50+ rounds with the demo and still love it, I'm gonna see if I can pre-order. Anyone else have thoughts about the demo?

I haven't played my Xbox alot lately so my membership expired. So I'm going to wait till silver can download right now. This is one of the games I am going to buy for sure though. The gameplay and graphics look great. Plus who wouldn't like the CAF and beating the shit out of BJ Penn.

It was a pretty fun demo. I actually ended up playing with Shogun Rua more because it was almost too easy with Chuck. It is rather funny to see how many ways you can disable the opponent. If your patient enough and work the body down enough any hit can send somebody to the ground. Those damn spinning punches always catch me off guard and knock me out.
I'm tempted to get the game. |

One hit by chuck can do it pretty fast if done correctly, I still am playing using both characters, it just seems so real. One thing you said that I forgot to mention, the falling down. I can beat Chuck until it takes one hit and he's constantly on the ground, that's REALLY annoying. I'll just hit him, wait and regain my stamina in order to make him tap out. (I love doing that more then KO) Combo list is insane. |

And each character (I think it's more style, I say character cause in the demo you only have Chuck and Shogun. But I think they each have their style/fighting style you can customize your own character with.) is different. With one character you'll have to bring your enemy to the ground to have a better chance of winning or stay on your feet. |
Game is SICK! Been playing it non stop since it came out. Shogun is one of my favourite MMA fighters so I always use him. ;)

I don't find sports all that appealing as a past time in any capacity. I don't like football, baseball, soccer, rugby, boxing, racing, or any game based on them. The last time I even played one of these types of games was waaaaay back when on my Atari 2600, where I used to play the Baseball and Boxing games a bit. Also Yars Revenge and Kangaroo.
Fighting games are one of those genres I shy away from simply because I don't like memorizing combo lists, or having a fair chance to be beaten by a gorilla chewing on the second controller. A friend wants to play me in SFIV and I know it's going to be a series of defeats for myself, and it's difficult for me to spend money on a copy of a game I'm not interested in just to online play. |
