Well this is a short post since I have plans for today, so I wish to share the latest progression on FoL. Everything to do with the interface and basic coordination of it is almost complete. Now all that's left is the quest panel and object handling.

Anyway here's your picture! Notice the new eyes, I like these ones so they're here to stay, no more playing around with the base. I have more work to do!

The base icon looks like it would walk oddly.
Actually I like the animation of the walk. Something I accomplished much better than if I were to pixel it oddly enough.
Gogeta is a mutant? :P
nice, what are you making all of the art with?
For color test purposes I have it randomize races by the primary 4 provided to the game. So it just so happens that this turn I'm a mutant :)

And I'm making most of my art with flash, adobe photoshop and paint.
It looks nice so far. And I also see a basic stat system (If this isnt just for looks.)
Actually that's practically the working stat system. I don't half-ass it when I design something. If I'm forming one part then I make sure every aspect is working before moving onto the next.

So that's completed, with the working mathematics for the level and stats.
So are you already ahead of DBOII?
Nice work Ken! I like the new tree, way better than the last (due to shading and shape). I think you inspired me to make my next game using Flash for graphics! Thanks. I hope I can get a piece of testing when you enter that stage!

Lol.

Good shit ken!

Your interface design is really great man, keep the good progress up :)

Out of interest, when was the last time you developed a game?
He can only criticize because thats all he will ever be good at.
i came in my pants

& glad i'm on the testers list =]
I don't develop games, I play and critique them. I don't see where physically owning one would fall into place (If participating in one would count, then sure.) In all honesty it was a friendly remark, merely pointing out the indication that NN revealed a stat based system whereas DBOII did not.

Concerning Yash's comment, unlikely. Though I do intake that as a compliment, I'm a fan of criticism. This just wouldn't be the case. Feel free to reply with an otherwise stale comment.
I see significant improvements in the progress of this game almost daily, your renewed enthusiasm is exactly what I like to see. The rate of progress you are making is very impressive.
I love the cartoony look, makes it more fun
Oh, one thing though. The idea of having the tree be transparent was really good, however your going to want to do something about the trunk of the tree as well. The portion under the tree needs to fade at a rate that makes it look a little more visually pleasing.
The tree top and the trunk are two different graphics all together. But I could figure something out. Thanks for the comments, as for me being ahead of DBO II, I dunno. I may have revealed more to do with the gameplay, but I'm in no playable state.

It wasnt ment to be an insult, i was just wondering :)
