I'm looking for was to get new people to take their shot at designing levels for Tomb Explorer. The Tomb Editor works great and I'd love to see people using it, but so far most people seem to overlook it and I'm not sure why.
What I'd like to know is if there's a certain something that the editor is lacking that discourages people from starting or finishing levels if they attempt to design them? Perhaps there needs to be a start-to-finish tutorial on how to create a level with Tomb Editor?
Perhaps I'll take some time learning how to use the Microsoft Media Encoder so I can put together some demo and tutorial videos. I'd really like some feedback on this.
Yeah, a manual would really help. When I open it up, I can't find a tutorial on triggers and what items interact with what obstacles. I might be overlooking this, but if not, it would be a very handy addition.

Can you host flash videos on youtube? No, but you could view it in a browser window in DS. |

You can find a wall-of-text explanation on the forum: http://www.byond.com/members/Foomer/forum?id=204 The section under editing tiles explains the triggers, and it lists all the available items and how they work. Although it would be really nice if I had something built into the editor, such as a microsoft-esque question mark button that will give you more information on specific items. Plus that would make it way easier to update the help files. |

I sent a couple of good ones. Yeah, I'm checking those out. I'll get back to you when I'm done looking at them. Incidentally I'm starting to see why time limits are annoying, as I seem to get a little further every time I play those levels before the time limit runs out. |
