When will Byond allow you to convert your projects into flash format (.swf) so it can be uploaded into flash gaming websites, etc?

This incapability is one of the main reasons that Byond isn't as popular as of the otehr gaming engines such as Unity 3d.
I believe the flash games will only be allowed on the BYOND website for the time being to help them bring in some revenue. I think they plan on changing that down the road. Don't quote me though.

Although Tom has noted on several occasions to advertise your own game away from the hub ...

I think that only allowing flash on the BYOND website is a terrible idea... in fact I think it's one of the worst ideas in history for game developers..
Wow, unless I'm horribly misinformed, there's something people aren't understanding about DreamFlash (my coined term, not official).

It doesn't convert anything. It's just a flash client. Much like DreamSeeker is a Windows client. Essentially DreamSeeker made out of Flash to play BYOND worlds. It should coincide with DreamSeeker, not replace it.

Allowing Flash on the website would simply be them putting the flash client on the site so people can play games directly from their hub page if they're already being hosted. Without the need to download and install/execute BYOND. <- This here, is NOT a bad idea.

"DreamFlash" I like it.

If we had a portable SWF/client and had the ability to put it on other websites as OP was questioning then Zaltron's statement would be horrible.

I don't think it'll stick, sadly.
The term "DMHTML" (a subset of HTML, which we use in Dream Maker for outputs and such) was used -once- officially, in the update notes afaik. It's never been used on the forum after that, besides once.
DMHTML doesn't fit the naming constructs.

By rights, it really has to start with "Dream". If not Dream Flash. Then perhaps Dream Viewer or even Dream Portable.

I believe the flash client will be available to include on your own website.
Tom's kind of been going back and forth on the topic, but I think the Flash client will probably be limited to the BYOND site initially (it makes sense from a bug-squashing/PR standpoint, at least). Here's one of the more relevant posts I could find:

Tom wrote:
Initially, the flash system will work on our site, so the proposed members-only hub system will effectively require membership to run a flash game.

However, I thought you were proposing that the flash client only be accessible to member _players_, which is a much bigger market. That is in fact something that I have considered, but with some exclusions; I don't think developers would welcome the Flash if they knew it had the pretty limited audience of BYOND Members. Some possible options are 1) preview or interstitial ads for non-Members, 2) limited #non-member players supported on Flash servers, 3) developer pays a licensing fee to allow non-Members (and take game off-site).

But I would imagine it's all still pretty much "up in the air".
That is if the flash client even gets released..

And when it does flash will be obsolete..
No offense but it's taking a lot to be released...

I know there's no need for the developers to have it, but it's April already and all we've gotten is information related to map text, which was meant to be finished on new year x,x.
