Is there any way to create your own private server if you had a group of friends that wanted to play?
I had my character moved from Kaldan to Mardeck. I guess this is happening a lot, these random, unmentioned moves?

It's sort of annoying, considering I was gonna get a friend to join the same server as me to play with... But if one of us gets random moved again, that won't be possible anymore. =/

Also, I got moved to a practically dead server, which means it's gonna be hard to party with others and such anyways. >:/

The game does tell you that you've been redirected when you click on a full server (it says "Welcome to [server name]" when you log in). Unfortunately, many people have been missing that message. We didn't move your savefile - it never actually existed on Kaldan.

Once this madness dies down a bit we will be combining servers to increase the overall population on each server, as well as offering savefiles transfers. Sorry for the hassle, we're doing the best we can!

Sorry about that. We try to moderate inappropriate conversations over the World Chat channel, but our moderation team is stretched really thin right now. What server are you on?

Another good option would be to turn off the World Chat channel completely for your kids. Simply press "F5" to bring up your social menu, then click the "Toggle WorldSay" button.

I keep getting an error message when trying to load Nestalgia. "byond://173.255.197.32:55031" -pager It will not allow me to run anything. Any help with this would be great.

The BYOND site was down for maintenance just a moment ago, which may have been the root of this issue. Let us know if you're still having problems after a few minutes.
i was just pondering this as i mindlessly grind, but sir silk, do you think you might ever do a double exp event? =D
Someone put forced PvP back ON in Hazordhu please. My group wants to have some fun hehe
I don't understand how my character got deleted in the server i was on last night Level 10. I also made a new one today and it's not showing up again.

You were likely redirected to another server originally and didn't realize it. Check the other servers and you should find your savefile. Sorry, we're working on making this more clear.

That's a good idea! We'll have to see about that.

Have you considered setting up some kind of savefile handling server so users can transfer their savefiles between worlds? Aside from minor complications (playing on two servers sanctimoniously with the same savefile for instance) it would certainly clear up any issues like this one.

The only thing I'm not sure about would be how well something like that could handle the volume of traffic. It'd be interesting to see, anyway.

Good thought. It's something that we're talking about, but because players are tied to a server by more than just their own savefile (guilds, the marketplace, etc), a savefile handling server isn't something that we can just drop in without making some big changes first.

It's more than likely that we'll just end up keeping savefiles tied to one server, but we'll combine servers when the lag issues are resolved and setup a formal savefile transfer request system.
Here's a stupid question: Is it possible to change your character's name after creation? Because I want to change mine, but I'm at level 22 and don't want to start over...
Hmm, I leveled up to 10 on Shrenworld, but it didn't save my character... I know I logged out properly. Weird.

I'm pretty sure I was logged in, hmm... Oh well.
I don't like leaving a comment up here about something like this, but the Solider really feels like he's got nothing going for him solo. I can not walk anywhere by my self in the late game. It is frustrating that I always have to get people to hold my hand, is there any plan to do something about this?

If not I've got an idea, if you just give Soldiers an ability that so after they win a battle, the next 3 steps they take recover 2% of their health a step, even that would be a huge step in keeping things balanced, and letting soldiers take more than three steps away from towns.

I love your game, but there is always room to improve and this is something that is really frustrating. Soldiers are incredibly frustrating to solo with, and something like this suggestion would go a long way towards helping them be able to solo, without un-balancing the game, and making it so they can solo bosses that are meant to be taken down by groups
I think a transfer request system would work well for a temporary solution. But as your game continues to get more and more popular, and you're adding more and more servers, I assume that kind of feature (if it's not automated) would get very tiring for you and your users.

My first thought would have been to simply globalise the market, guilds and other stuff you have in there (global markets between servers does sound pretty sweet IMO). But as I thought of a couple of suggestions to globalise the market system, the deeper I dug into the theory, the less and less efficient it became for a player base as large as yours, and considering your use of on-screen objects none of my theories would work very well here.

It wouldn't be all that difficult to globalise the guild system, as there is a lot, lot less involved in that than an active market place. Just a few optimisation issues I can think of off-hand.

Having never developed an application with the theory it can break 100 players (let alone 300), I've come to the assumption that I really need to rethink the methods in which I do things. Quite enlightening actually, cheers.

An admin has to change your character's name when you're online. I cycle through the servers semi-regularly. Just try to get the attention of somebody with purple text to fix it for you.
