The latest build of Tomb Explorer includes a competition edition of the map Sanctum (its in the Competition folder). If you play this map, your score for that map will show up on the standings section of the hub entry. If you'd care to test your skills and see what kind of score you can get - only your highest score will be shown - then we can check back next Sunday night and see who the top scores belong to.
So grab the latest version of Tomb Explorer. Some notes about scoring:

The sense of achievement after so many tries at this is far greater than a lot of games I have played. Not something I have come across much on Byond. I'll admit I should have played this sooner, job well done, Foomer. | |
Nice job guys. My actual high score for this map (non-competition) is 4221, so you're doing pretty darn good. Darke - nice job, but somehow Danny's got you beat. :P

50.9 seconds
100% treasure 6531 points :D [EDIT]: You know, getting to be able to do that map so quickly requires memorization and analysis to minimize the total distance your mouse travels. :/ Tedious. D: | |
My best time here is 88.5 seconds. Honestly I never expected that anyone would replay these maps so aggressively. :P I'd PREFER to have maps that are simply puzzling enough that the real challenge is figuring out how to get 100% of the treasure in the first place.

100% treasure 6576 points Heh, I'm just getting faster and faster. Though, this was only from a change in strategy. Overall, the pace was much slower than when I did 50.9 seconds. Now it's time to see if I can do sub 50. [EDIT]: 47.8 seconds 100% treasure 6723 points HEH. My arm is quivering from all of the adrenaline. :P | |
You remind me of those kids in an arcade dishing out quarters to try to beat the high scores on Asteroids or something. :P You've already blown away everyone else's score. I wonder if there will be some way in the future to setup Tomb Explorer so that it downloads the best scores for each level from the standings database.
BTW, are you deleting your stats.dat file, or are your scores getting reset somehow? I think there's a lingering bug in there somewhere that causes people's scores to get erased somehow, and I'm trying to track it down. It won't effect the high scores for individual levels, but its still annoying. | |
The scores are getting reset every time I close the game, start it up again, and then complete a level.
Also, I keep trying to get faster and faster because even my best runs have mistakes. Things like misclicking (Which happens to me at least 5 times for every run of Sanctum) really slows you down. Without any misclicking, I bet I could get around 40 seconds. | |
