I would imagine this has been requested before but I couldn't find anything.

Instead of (or in addition to) showing the time a post was made (ex: "Apr 5, 11:36 am"), show how long ago that was (ex: "3 days ago", or "Apr 5, 11:36 am (3 days ago)"). The relative time is what people typically care about. Also, the relative timestamp is always the same whether the user has changed their time zone or not so it's always meaningful.
I honestly prefer the way it is opposed to the relative nature, but It's really a matter of opinion. I suppose the second example given
"Apr 5, 11:36 am (3 days ago)"
would do in place of it, best of both worlds.
I really hate the new timestamps. The old version where it actually gave you a timestamp rather than "yesterday" was much better.
