Keep it up.
thanks
Looks perfectly fine to me o_o

Just use the same shaped body in North and South. It is after all the same shape... The only thing that changes is a characters musculature.
@ZeeXHosting Firstly, the shading -- what your shading used here is called "pillow shading" (it's a ugly type of shading that nobody likes). He actually looks like a skin colored pillow.. Read this to learn 'n' see proper shading: http://kiwinuptuo.deviantart.com/art/ Pixel-Art-Tutorial-Shading-184136991 You'll see the difference.

Secondly, take a look at some Sprites movement frames for reference, it can be from ANY game pretty much at:

Good luck.

If you're going to be designing anything other than your mobs, or sprites if you prefer to call them that; I also recommend this tutorial.

A friend of mine linked me to it when I was getting started, and it helped me a lot.

E.T. phone home?
I assume the head is intentionally oversized as a stylistic issue. But it does kind of look like Stewie from Family Guy- the head is usually not as wide as the shoulders ;-).
