Hello readers, today I will be blogging about the new Efencea
interface as well as an inside look at some of the concept art
floating around.

Making pretty interfaces on photoshop was never my forté, it's always
been difficult for me to produce the look I want with graphic design.
I'm used to just drawing or painting the shapes and colors I want.
Luckily, being faced with the challenge of making an interface has
allowed me to gain experience in this field and style of art.

Usually, when I'm forced to 'start over' on a piece of art things tend
to come out a lot better than the original. This is precisely what
happened with the GUI. I've been experiencing some computer problems
which caused me to lose my work on multiple occasions. Fortunately,
this lead to the creation of neater and prettier art. Over the course
of the past three days, I've spent more than 28 hours refining my
graphic design skills and producing what I hope to be appealing GUI
elements for Efencea.
Originally, we planned on making detailed 64x64 portraits for each
unit and tower but when the task proved to be a lot more difficult and
time consuming than anticipated, we settled for some simple photoshop
effects coupled with in-game sprites.
We have made an effort to introduce a lot of concept art to direct the
pixel/other game art. Our newest member Guyst_X, who happens to be my
very first art instructor, has been making regular contributions in
the form of such art.

The universe of Efencea is growing and it has been a lot of fun to be
part of its creation.
