So much for the power of an XBox. I played Halo 2 today for about 5 hours, and had a lot of fun. I didn't save it or anything, I figured at every checkpoint or at beginnings of levels, it saves. Well, in the level when you first become the Covenent dude that was torchered, I was either mid-way through the level or mostly through the level, and I go to charge some brutes with 2 Needler guns equipped. I kill some and then back up, and it freezes.
Not to fear! It saved my game!
Wrong.
I'm back at around the beginning of the game now, right after you kill the two enormous alien sentinal things (The guys are supposed to be multiple aliens in one... Those were the only ones I've seen so far).
Anyone know of a way to do level skipping to at least get me back to the level when you are an alien, or does anyone know of a way to do invincibility so I can hurry through the levels?
By the way, a lot of people diss it, and I haven't played many shooters, but I've had a lot of fun with it. I don't like the fact that you have to use a joystick thing, but for a mindless shooter, it is a lot of fun. I also like that it breaks away from the typical guns, I really like energy weapons. I've been playing Half Life 1, as well, and that is fun, but it's a lot more different than Halo... A lot more brains involved, but both are fun.
Another problem with Halo (or the xbox) that I dont think I can fix is that when the screen shows a lot of brighter white colors, it starts making this extremely loud and irritating static noise.

Needlers Don't suck, Dual those babies and they rock. But the best combo is a Energy Gun and a Human gun. One to get rid of the sheild other to kill, works everytime.

That combo sucks. Its called "The Noob Combo" For a reason. If you need it to kill sombody you suck. I could kill you with one magnum. And Grenade + BR = Best Combo

No. alien takes down sheilds. Thats a peice of cake. But the human ammo does both. Human guns are the best. The best gun in the game is the Battle Rifle. Which pisses me off because it replaced the original "Assult Rifle" Which was an automatic

You can burst it. But not as fast as an SMG ps(Burst fire SMG's. They rape better) oh and to you Alex Duel SMG does twice the damage of a needler. And you wont stick me with 8 needles before I kill you. I havent died from a needler accept against my sensei. Who did it to be a jewrk

Haven't played Halo 2, myself, but I have played Halo. It's okay, but gets really boring. My Xbox sucks too, and I got it new. The loudest among the PS2/GCN/XBOX series, and huge to boot. I can't say I wasted any money on it, though. My dad got it free when he signed a 2-year contract with MSN a few years ago. | |

Quit complaining if you got it free. Kunark, it sounds like your disk is scratched. Since there are no cheats in Halo your best bet would be either fix up the disk, or use action replay to use someones save file. | |
there is no way to get the BR off of burst, but you can fire 1 shot at a time if you hit melee or change weapon really quickly after you fire. but the BR sucks anyways, the Assault Rifle was so much better. and the SMG and Needler are about the same, its just that the Needler reloads a lot quicker, just not as accurate because it is slow, but has a lock on and will slightly curve to hit your target

I played Halo(the first one, which all the Halo fans tell me the single player on it is better anyhow), it was OK. I've played many a better FPS game.
The multiplayer for Halo 2 reminds me ALOT of Tribes. It's once again fun, but it doesn't really stand out from anything in my opinion. Unreal Tournament is much more fun for mindless shooting, and Counter-Strike stands out far more for strategical and teamwork FPS. | |
I've never had any problems like that... Maybe, a bad A/V hook-up is causing the static, because on the PS2 if my cords aren't all the way in all you can hear is static.

I hate the Coventant missions, the flood freak me out. But it shouldn't take that long to get back to where you were, since you (hopefully) remember where everything is now.
If you don't see : "Saving. Do not turn off or disconnect power" then don't assume anything xD | |
