Ok, while coding an Artificial Intelligence system for Duel Monsters Unlimited I came up with a good idea.

Coding Marketplace. Basically, a game JUST for programmers, where they can share code in a chatting environment, rather than post post post post post.

Messages can be sent to other players, or groups of players containing code which has correctly highlighted syntax and correct spacing. If made popular at all, maybe add scheduled coding tutorials. This idea has many possibilities.

Using my knowledge of PHP, I can tie the game into the Developer How-To forum, allowing you to search through it within the game, reply to any of your posts etc.

This would end up more then just a Coding Exchange, but a Main Hub for all programmers.

So, what do you guys think, good concept? Or waste of time?
Chatters already exists for this.

How many programmers are pointed towards Chatters for answers for coding problems? No one has ever given me that advice....ever.......XD not on the forums, not anywhere. Chatters is too 'general'. It's practically just BYOND IRC <_<

EDIT: What I'm SAYING here, is a place developed SPECIALLY for coders. Not just a room on an IRC Emulator...
Every time I need any programming help I go straight to chatters, yes people chat about other issues but it has so many features pointed towards programmers, that it is quite easy to go and get the help you need in a few minutes.

Meh, looks like I did waste my time then........aww well, worth a try I spose.
I say go for it, the Chatters community (including me) aren't that helpful at all. Also depends on what time you get there, if it's during an interesting conversation then we're as good as a brick to you, otherwise we may help you. However, it doesn't matter, make it to learn from it. I do this all the time, I make so much random crap that it actually helps me understand the logic behind programming much better.

I say go for it!
