The new update to Plunder Gnome changes several aspects of gameplay:
First, the movement system now makes use of key-down and key-up events. No more broken keyboards and carpal-tunnel syndrome.
Second, I fixed some minor bugs (which I've already forgotten about) in the pixel movement system. Don't worry, I also updated the system so that doors are easier to touch; I'm sure I've introduced enough bugs with that fix to more than break even.
Third, invulnerable gnomes can now be pushed around by any other character. Also, they now can't plunder while invulnerable. This, along with other minor tweaks I've forgotten about, will make defense possible.
What should be more obvious are the medals and scores. The medals are already described on the hub, so I won't waste space describing them here. If you have an idea for a new medal, though, please pass it my way. The scores are few and simple: Radish Points record how many radishes you have been responsible for gathering throughout your career (based on the final score of your team and the strength of the competition in each round), while Allegiance shows how likely you are to play on a certain team.
You may also notice the Gnome Points which show up in the scores area and at the ends of the descriptions of each medal. These are roughly analogous to the Xbox's concept of a "Gamer Score", but I couldn't bring myself to actually name something "Gnomer Score". The Gnome Points are only available to subscribers, as is the "Friend of George" medal. (Please buy a subscription, I need to pay composers for... well, that's a secret, no matter how poorly kept it has been recently).
Finally, many internal systems were changed in preparation for a future update which will allow the frame rate to increase to 30fps (and some other things I don't want to give away just yet). This, along with the key states, is the reason for the jump to "2.0".
Enjoy. Meanwhile, I need sleep.

Looks great. I'll see how many Medals I can get. :D
And look, you've grown your beard. You don't look like Obi-Wan anymore, though. How's the job doing? |
