My brother, being extremely lucky, managed to get an Xbox360 at Sam's club. He's at college, so I haven't seen it firsthand, but apparantley the game he played on it got scratched to an unusable state while in the console. He has no reason to lie, so I believe it. DOWN WITH MICROSOFT! FIGHT THE MAN!

My guess is that, they were expecting to have problems (like any New console might have) so they shipped a low amount out.
Why ship out a shit load of 360's and have problems, when they can ship out a little bit to get the buyers attention but on the other hand find out teh problems and fix it for the next time they send a shipment out. They still have quite a bit of time before the Rev and Ps3 ship so It's better there finding out all these problems now then later. | |

They make shortages, so they can create a fake illusion of hype. People are now paying $5,000.00 + for a Xbox 360, when they ship more out at a decent price, dont you think people will go nutts buying them? Guess what, from Nintendo products Ive NEVER had a problem with them. Not even first shipments. Using the population to test out problems with a system is wrong. And when the Xbox 360 crases, freezes up, scratches cds and even bursts into flames, something is really wrong. Sales tactics like this are wrong. | |

Yeah it is, thats only part of it OneFishDown, the fact is people will see these sales and the insaity of what lengths people are going to to get a damn Xbox 360. These fake shortages make it seem like its just that much more cooler.
Then as soon as the "shortage" is gone, people will mob the streets just so they can get a Xbox 360. Divine Apprentice, using Hentai as a reason is so immature it isn't funny, and thats exactly why your the douche bag of the year bitch. I love Sony and I love Nintendo. Both of them have given me hours of fun and entertainment. The Xbox on the other hand.. I own a modded Xbox and I only own like a few games. The rest of the games don't appeal to me. For Xbox fans it about something different then gameplay. The Xbox games just dont appeal to me, other then a few choice select titles, being Strangers Wrath, Fable and Knights of the Old Republic. The rest of the games are terrible and crappy. And I only lost more respect for Microsfot when they allowed a slew of 3rd party, adult rated games into their library. You dont need tits and sex to sell a system or game. | |
First off, Shades, you only list 3 titles as good on Xbox, 2 of which(Strangers Wrath and Fable) were crap. That leads me to believe that your opinion as a gamer is worthless.
You then go on to say the rest are terrible and crappy....even more wrong. Stubbs the Zombie, KOTOR2, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive 3, Halo/Halo 2, and Jade Empire are just a few I can name off the top of my head that were not terrible or crappy. Your worth as a gamer is getting lower and lower. And you also whine about a fake shortage, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Sony do the same thing? Oh, and if you think Nintendo products are so reliable, go play NEW and Virtual Boy, both of which had loads of problems right at start. Nintendo has had a history of releasing poor perephirals, too, such as ROB and the Power Glove. As for Sony, I've had several problems with the hoprrible flimsyness and short lifespan of the PS2. Finally, the 360 is not the Xbox; yes, the Xbox didn't have the best library, but the 360 has a great library of now out and coming soon games. King Kong, Perfect Dark Zero, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2, Full Auto, Gears of War, Chromehounds, etc. It also has the most comfortable controller released in years, as opposed to the ugly and uncomfortable boomerang and the revolutionary and likely fun but wrist-damaging Revolution controller. In short, in 2 posts you have proven your opinion as a gamer to be completely worthless. | |

Fish, sorry, my opinion is far from worthless. Yes people are allowed opinions on what they like, but what is good is a different matter. I've extensively played both of those games, and they are horribly repetitive and overhyped, with little depth to them.

Tried it, tried again, and shook head. No matter what game I got it either crashed or the game bugged. What a complete letdown. I'm selling it for fifty dollars.

I made the mistake of getting the Xbox whne it first came out, and Now It sucks cuz of the dam Thompson Drive..I now know to wait a few months to buy a new system.

if you want to try to prove a point, you have to back up your statements. if you say something is good, explain why. if you say that something is bad, explain why.
gordon, you leave a lot of things unexplained in your posts. its not clear why a particular game is good, so you should explain why games are good instead of saying things like "That leads me to believe that your opinion as a gamer is worthless". if you don't explain any of your opinions, then your opinions are worthless to everyone else. if your opinions are worthless to everyone but you, then its best to just keep them to yourself. if you want to give the opinions some legitimacy, explain them, if you can. for example, i can claim that "seven plus four is nineteen", which is very silly by itself. if i say nothing else to support it, then its "worthless". if i had a way to explain the claim, and i did explain it, the claim would be more legitimate. if that's ignorance, then i love it. but don't think of it as a compliment when someone calls you ignorant, because they probably know what it means. | |
This is the first shipment. There will be problems, and Microsof will fix the problems in future shipments.
