Of all the things they don't tell you are important in life...I'm a lousy shirt-folder, an issue which came up today when I had to pick up the shirt to wear for a conference I'm part of next week, and I couldn't get it re-folded.
So here is the definitive easy way to fold a shirt:

Somehow I still don't think I can do it.

Neat! I've always found it a pain to fold clothes in general, but this way is alright (assuming you have a clear space for it). I thought it might be a camera trick at first, but it actually works. Now I need to find some better strategies for folding pants! =)
|
I just usually fold my pants in half by the crotch, and then fold them over twice down the leg, and call it done. >_>
|
TEH BEST! Never again a bad fold, because this is both the quickest and best looking I've seen. I'm amazed that it works. Thanks man. :)

I watched it three times and still can't figure out the middle step, where it looks like he turns it inside out or something. Guess I'll have to stick to hangers for now...

Holy cow. I thought I knew how to fold a shirt. I really did.
But compared to how that turned out, my folded shirts always look kind of "meh". Sure, they're folded, and they're okay, but... I'll have to practice that. Wow. |
I noticed that is has to do with the sewing, a bad quality shirt just can't finish up in a perfect rectangle like on the clip. But with practice you can get pretty close.
Gug, to make the middle step just pinch the shirt where you hold your left hand (middle of the shirt), and lift it up while crossing your hands over. It's kind of automatic. I have to start timing the folds soon, this is addictive. :) |
My partner was passing by with a load of laundry and I said, "Look at this, it might help you with those clothes...", but he was in a bad mood and said, "I'm too stressed for anything to help."
But I showed it to him anyway, and he leaned forward and said, "Hey, show that again!" |
This shirt compells me! Nice find Ron. I wish I knew that trick back when I was working in retail....

I used it recently in front of some friends, while saying "So you don't know how to fold a shirt properly?" And I finished the fold before I finished the sentence. It's a grade A party trick!
