"I'm keeping his key warm XD" <-- I said it was his key o-o It's jus easier to sort out Masters stuff from his key.
Hmm... Okay. When it bringing it back up? Anytime soon?

When I fix it all, it's pretty f***ed atm XD
Great. Another rip to plague BYOND with poor graphics, mediocre programming, and boring recycled systems.

Oh joy...

Recycled Systems? DB Masters first came out in 2003, if anything, the systems on Masters were the ones that were recycled to begin with.

Mediocre Programming? Obviously you don't know who I am.

Rip? Who says I'm keeping the source the same? It was based off Zeta, which we all know wasn't exactly a 'role-model' source.

DB Masters was the FIRST Dragonball/Naruto hybrid on BYOND, so please don't make it seem like it copied everyone else.

Um, no. It was a Zeta rip. It used the same recycled systems from the Zeta source it was based off.

Nope. Not interested either.

You did.

It's not a matter of whether or not it copied anyone else as far as it being a poor hybrid of two anime that aren't even slightly similar. The fact it was a rip already makes it a copy no matter if you decided to add content from Naruto into it.

Yes, I said I had the source of the game somewhere, I didn't say I was KEEPING it that way, please don't put words into my mouth.

Yes it had Zeta Icons, and a few of the systems were Zeta-based, but many of them weren't.

As for your final comment, I wouldn't call a game that was averaging 30 players a night 'poor', unless it's just by your standards...

DB Masters was the first game on BYOND to have over 1000 Killable monsters, I think the last count I was up to was 1128. You know full well by 'copied everyone else' I ment the idea of the hybrid itself.

When has similarity ever stopped imagination? If it did, wave goodbye to Chimeras, Gorgons, and my fav cartoon ever produced, Catdog.

Changing a source doesn't make it any less of a rip.

Even a crappy, poorly designed game can get 30 players a night if there isn't much competition due to everyone else also making equally crappy rips instead of putting together some quality original designs. And 30? That's really nothing at all. Especially when the original games (Naruto GOA, Bleach Las Noches, etc.) are averaging into the two and three-hundreds.

Might I ask how placing an excessive amount of NPCs on a map is worth mentioning as some sort of cool unique feature?

Whether or not you copied the idea of a hybrid (which really doesn't matter 'cause there have been tons of hybrids way before Dragonball Masters outside of BYOND, so it doesn't mean you invented the idea) is a moot point as far as me calling your game just another copy. The fact is it was just another Zeta copy like the hundreds of other DBZ games on this site.

Changing a pre-existing source, and learning what needs adding to a new source is completely different, I said I wasn't keeping the old source, doesn't mean I'm covering it with sellotape.

Which is answered in the above comment, I'm writing it afresh so it doesn't matter.

Thats nowadays where BYOND has a huge player base, back then, the only game to have anywhere near 100 players, was Zeta.

DB Masters pushed BYOND to it's limits. The game itself was so chock-a-block with resources, the game took over 15 minutes to compile..It gave it's players a whole range of things to do, finding secret areas, earning hidden techniques...and an ever-more challenging opponent around the corner. You were never bored, which is the main point of a game isn't it, entertainment?

Oh please, other then Masters, the only other half decent Zeta rip was Majins and Mystics, which lived LONGER then Zeta in terms of a high player base. Masters started out a Zeta rip because the original coder didn't know how to code, and basically tacked libraries on until I came and straightened it out. Now I am starting it anew, and you will find most of the games I have supplied code for, Stargate Online, Legends Reborn, Duel Monsters Unlimited, are actually quite popular.
