Our team has a little break due to school problems of our staff members. We are going to start really hard working soon. I just wanted to show you new screenshot.

Hyuuga, Taijutsu Expert or Kaguya for me =D

Why not let them choose as the game goes on... its rather limiting to choose right from the begining...
|
Don't you people like... Read the manga or something? If you did it would be clear that the selection there is poor and impossibly to fairly balance, which would not make for a fun game.
An example is comparing the "weaponist" with Uchiha. The characters you've chose to represent "weaponist", especially for the sand village are low tier, and stand absolutely no chance of beating any of those others listed. (Also, weaponist is not even a word, maybe you mean weapon specialist?) Unless you are going to invent stuff, this looks like it is going to be pretty terrible if you ask me! And if you are going to invent stuff... Why are you calling it a Naruto game again? It obviously is not... Oh wait, I get it. You're doing it so people play the game right? Because you'd rather have a game with 50+ players online at a time than a good game, right? |
Not only what Magic Man said but know your characters. Isn't Deidara a missing-nin from Hidden Rock (or was it Stone?), not Sand?

Shinobi RPG is naruto world based game, so we allow our players to choose classes from Naruto. It's not 100% Naruto/NotNaruto game, about 50% of the game concept is not based of Naruto. Class selection may look unbalanced but every class will be as good as other classes. Each class will have it's own advantages and disadvantages. We cannot prevent people from choosing the class which they like. I think that, around 30% of the players will choose Uchiha at the begining but after they see other classes abilities, some of them will change the class. I didn't know "weaponist" wasn't a word :P It will be probably changed to Weapon Specialist soon. Also, one of the game's goals is to get lots of player online. The fun is bigger in RP games when there is more people logged in. I don't think I have to choose between "good game" or "50+ players online". I can have a good game with 50 + players on, can't I? |

But would those 50+ players be playing the game due to it's own merits, or because it uses the name Naruto? If the anime community is anything to go by, it is not the first option. |

Almighty Team wrote: People play anime games because they're something they can relate to outside of the game. Usually, as well, anime games have an already-built and huge world which they don't need to take the time to learn (except for the actual map). Also, if you're introduced to BYOND by an anime game, you will tend to play anime games more than any other game. Fun fact. There are plenty of reasons why people play anime games, and the majority of people don't just play them because they're anime and nothing else. |
Clan should be chosen from the beginning, while a separate class can be chosen later on.

I mean, there is technically nothing in the Naurto universe stopping someone from a specific clan from learning any other jutsu, except those specific to a clan due to bloodline restrictions or the secrets of the jutsu not being known. Also, Aixelsyd, you basically just said "people don't play anime games because they are anime games, they play them because they like anime, and want to play an anime game"... Which kind of makes no sense. Also, fun fact. I originally joined BYOND due to anime games (more specifically a DBZ game), anime games are probably the type of game on BYOND I play the least. One thing I never understood though, was why people chose to make games of Naruto. I know it is fairly popular (but there is much more popular anime/magna out there), but it is entirely not suited to being a game because the world and history in Naruto are small and poorly defined, and there is just not enough in the Naruto universe to make a full fledged multiplayer game. There is tons of other, much better anime that is also better suited to being a multiplayer game than Naruto... So why Naruto :[? I want a Desert Punk MMORPG :[ |

He's right, there are better animes out there to be turned into games. Anyway, I know I'll be trying it out as soon as it's released. Keep up the good work. |

Not saying that's a bad thing, but if you were a Naruto fan, such as myself, and watched the anime regularly, you would have seen that Naruto would make a perfect online game. There's plenty of history and background, but it's all dispersed at random times. I have seen every episode of the Naruto anime series, and read every chapter of the manga. I probably started reading it before anyone else on BYOND, long before it became popular, and long before it was an anime series. Also, the world of Naruto is very under developed, most people who make Naruto games don't even know basic information about it, and even though a world map of the Naruto world has been displayed before, every single Naruto game I have played on BYOND got that map wrong, usually vastly wrong. But, if Naruto is "so developed". Tell me about the land of earth, tell me the major events that happened in the Naruto universe in the last 100 years, and tell me about the Aburame family in detail, I want the family tree for at least the last 3 generations with descriptions of each memeber and a list of all their known jutsus and special abilities. If Naruto was as in depth and well written as you claim, this should be basic information which any fan should know. |
I have to agree with Jeff, a good thing to do would be to make all Basic Nin have no class, only a Village, once they get to Genin they can choose, this will give them time to play the game and hopefully see the classes in action before they rush straight for Uchiha hoping for Mangekyou......shame Aburame isn't in...but I s'pose I'll live =[
PLUS! As I currently have bugger all to do, no longer coding Stargate Online, Legends Reborn is getting on well after my fixes, and Duel Monsters Unlimited needs no more structural work done...I'll be happy to contribute (shame only as a supporting coder, *sigh*) |
That "screenshot" is unorganized and has spelling errors as well as plot errors.
Take out the things everyone should be able to be, which means take out like half of that list. Weaponist? What? This doesn't even really look like a screenshot either.. |

The class is based mainly on Tenten and others weapon masters. As I said before, each class has its own unique abilities. I think I forgot to say something: Player will be able to choose his nature elements in the game (not at the start), you can choose between all 5 elements or 2 basic elements + fusion element. PS. Also I think creating own words isn't bad when everyone knows the meaning. |
