I'm just about ready to release the first demo scenario (I'm thinking this Wednesday, Nov.23, at 5pm eastern), and I'd like to get the community rolling with some customization. If you'd like to get started on a custom icon for yourself, here's the 'working model' I use while making my sprites:

...Well, that is what I use. 'Working Mongoliod' was orinally a misreading of 'Working Model Old,' and it became a running gag. Perhaps I should give you a better model to work off of; here's an icon that looks remarkably like Mcgyver:

As you may have noticed, I havn't made the movment states for these sprites yet, but feel free to make movment states for your own icon. Here's an example of some female sprites to demonstrate how sprites can be changed dramatically just by changing the color pallet:

It should be noted that sprites should include an icon to be displayed next to the unit when it speaks/attacks:

Finally, I present the sprites I use for my character, and a custom sprite I made for a friend. If you use either of these, I'd ask that you to change it dramatically enough to prevent confusion, ect.:

At the moment, it's not important how these are put into .dmi format, what with icon states and all. Don't worry about it. When I get back to you with a concrete date and time for the publicity-demo/alpha-test, I'll also give you concrete info on how to package your character.
