Icon Ultima
I haven't been able to access any of the servers for a while. It will say "Downloading Sources" then "Connecting", but never connects.
You can also visit the following to get that (and several other old builds):

http://www.byond.com/download/build
Note: The main 24/7 server now runs on BYOND 496, so it'll now work on newer BYOND versions.
The login issue is caused by a recent change in Dream Seeker that makes the code abort and crash a client if winget or winset is called before ..(). I had one winget before that function and that causes every client to immediately disconnect when attempting to connect to servers. I believe this was a change in 495, so using 494 or earlier for the time being should circumvent the problem until recent host files are public.

I wouldn't recommend v496 with its bugs. I've seen someone's screenshot on how some people's icons looked like TV static, while in v493 those very same icons were visible.

I am not sure about v494 but v493 works best, that's the version I have.

Have them report those bugs on the proper forums then; otherwise how will Tom and Lum know to fix it?

Anyway; there are several builds of 496 available. It offers a LOT of needed features and bug fixes. Esp. if you're a developer.

There is no reason for a icon to look like TV static due to 496. I've yet to hear of this from anything or anyone else.
@NNAAAHH, recently there has been dozen of bugs on this version. At least everyone who develops have seen the bugs. The one specially that is not hard to see, is the Icons that do not render properly. Now I've notice that BYOND has made the icons enable for paint to use in tile sets, or view in tile sets, which made me think that it did not properly load. Pretty much, this bug is random. But it usually popped up, no more than 4 runs of it. Reloging or closing a world and restarting, makes it go away, but some players have seen that there are black areas, that the icons got cut off. But also, it is not up to LycanGoddess to post the bugs, if she does not want too. So pretty much, it is not hard to miss the new bugs founded on this version. So I'm saying, if Tom or Lum does not get reports, than it is 78% possible that they will end-up finding the bugs.
Also, of what LycanGoddess has said before your post...the bug I was talking about, is probably the bug she was talking about.

Once again; post bug reports in the proper forums.

I've filed or validated several bug reports for BYOND version 496; I know that it was riddled with bugs. As is a lot of new features added into any developement tool. I've compiled AND hosted on each of the 496 releases; none of which have brought a issue with 'tv static'-appearing icons for myself.

[EDIT]
I only read half of your post before replying; I will now reply to the remainder of the comment to attempt to clear up the ignorance in your post. I am not trying to insult you in any way by saying this, and you should not take this as such.

It IS her obligation, as well as yours and everyone BYOND user than has an issue with anything wrong in the software to report bugs and submit feature request; Otherwise you should not complain about annoyances. If you do not report these bugs properly and just leave it to the developers, they may never find these bugs. Therefore, the bugs may never be properly patched. 78% posible? What are you using to base this number uppon? I have yet to see any bug fixes in the patch notes that have not been due to a report by someone somewhere. I however, have seen Lum post bug reports himself. I assume this is the case when the BYOND staff members find bugs themselves. When compaired to the hundreds of bug patches due to reports by the community; I find it highly unlikely that unreported bugs will be resolved in any form of a timely manner. If it does get fixed without a report; it'll be far down the road.

This is still the only place I've heard of this bug; I assume it's something with this game specificly.
[END EDIT]
whos this Nah guy saying Byond is an obligation?

BYOND isn't a obligation- reporting issues with BYOND software IS.

Likely the issue lies in the type of game that sees a lot of dynamic resources during its runtime. No reports have been filed because a) this type of situation is so uncommon that it does not affect a majority of BYOND's games; b) this game is member of a genre nobody particularly cares about; c) it is not reliably reproduce-able. As for me in particular, I never run into these problems when I'm on the game so I've yet to even see any of these graphical errors firsthand.

Is it anything like the issue here?

As far as my knowledge with Icon Ultima there has NOT been any issues like shown in that video you provided.
So how long has the game's site been down(I can't access it, at least), and is there an alternate means of accessing the helpfile?

I have come across the fact that the site has been down as I have attempted access before, but as of this moment it is accessible via http://iconultima.tibbius.com/
I can note that the server itself was down for a few days last week, but it's all fine now.
Is it possible to get/make custom supers? Since it doesn't seem to be possible to buy them in the shop, since mousing over doesn't let you choose a quantity. So is it possible, or are they just not implemented or something?

Custom super moves are still in the process of being made. As of this moment, however, they are not purchasable.

Would like to know how the start area stuff works. :s (http://iconultima.tibbius.com/forum/ viewtopic.php?t=1094#7531)

If you're a host or a staff level with build goodies (set via server options or config file) there should be a 'Start Mode' verb in the Administration tab. When you click it, a few more things should be available to you to build (e.g. spawn point [where you start], platform tiles, noobwall tiles, mod spots, mechanic). Also, anything you build in this mode can't be deleted by other staff members, unless they're in start mode too. Anything built in start mode has a radius of a few tiles, set in server options ("Start area buffer"), that non-staff users can't build within so you can actually make a start area.
