Use to play it, name was Garfy (never had a clan, clan is another way of spelling carebear army), but I sold the account for big bux.
Anyway, my advice to anyone who wants to play this game... Don't. It is absolutely terribly in every single way possible. 90% of the features it bragged about do not exist, the 10% that do exist either don't work as described or intended, and are usually buggy. The game brags having "no leveling", but has skills (which ironically level up) and a lot of them require grinding that would put a Korean MMORPG to shame. The game also looks horribly and dated. Also, the community is the worst I have ever seen. Go play a BYOND Anime game, chances are in it you'll get killed a lot for no reason, and have to confront idiots all the time. Darkfalls community makes that sort of community look desireable. The community is a bunch of assholes who like bending, or flat out breaking the rules, and then using "HARDCORE PVP HELL YEAH YOU CAREBEAR" as an excuse. Also, the game has the same price tag as a commercial game... Yet is far from being commercial in any way, shape or form. Imagine if it was made with BYOND, the game would be the comparable to the first ever game a bunch of 12 year olds made with BYOND... Would you really purchase (and then pay to play) a game like that? I wouldn't. |
If I wanted your opinion on the subject, I would've just googled up "Generic bad opinion."

I'll do you a favour, go here http://www.freemmorpglist.com/ and pick any game on that list. It doesn't really matter how you pick the game, but not only will you find a better game to play that Darkfail, but we wont have to listen to you crying when you realize you've wasted your pocket money. Oh yeah, there is nothing hardcore at all about Darkfail, other than how hard the carebears complain about how "hardcore" the game is. (WoW is more hardcore, and WoW is for casuals) |

Darkfall isn't a solo game, It's amazing if you get in a good clan, could fix some bugs, but none are gamebreaking. Also, I have to laugh about the being killed anywhere complaint, It's a pvp game, what did you expect? Hold hands and singing around a tree? |
Yeah, I'm kindof glad I didn't waste money on this game now. It scored a 2/10..
It seems like it's only good because no other games like it are released this year. |
The review if you knew anything about Darkfall is biased and has blatant lies about the functionality and mechanics of the game. It does have its problems and most would not rate it above a 6 so it's not for everyone and they really need to give people a trial.
The company however is small and in debt and I think their plan for expanding is long term instead of fast growth. They will lose a lot of players this way, but a lot may have quit with the other strategy as well. In their mind they would rather have sustained growth than the massive explosion of Warhammer, Age of Conan and others that lost many subscribers after the initial opening. Time will tell. If Darkfall does fail hopefully Mortal Online will be what Darkfall wasn't. |
