I was just wondering because I heard this somewhere but is it possible to create a website and host it on your computer, like just leaving your computer on and letting it run or no? If I can then I wouldn't mind just leaving my computer on daytime. If not then I guess I'll have to buy a domain from somewhere :\

In that case, just google for Apache, and if you need it PHP and MySQL for web servers.
Apache is easy to set up, and you can usually find detailed instructions for installing PHP and MySQL on the web. |

Goten 84 lead me in direction where I can do this the correct way even with routers

I remember Gazoot had a source forge project that was basically an Apache webserver, PHP and MySQL database in one installer package.
It's probably really out of date now, but if you search around you might be able to find something similar. |

However, some ISPs purposely block the ports needed to do this. Also, you wont get a fancy domain name for free by doing this, you will have to use your IP address for people to view the site.
