I've just been thinking lately and there are only a handful of "good" BYOND games out right now. Are all the real developers and designers on a break or is fall the drought season?

Don't worry, I'm sure something is building up to surprise us all...
we only work as fast as we can and game desgin takes time there sre plenty more comeing out i have a gundam game comeing out in a week or 2
Well Dark Master I wouldnt get too excited over National Guardsmen "gondom" game, just because of his spelling. :/

Alot of people on byond are older, like, actual adults, who do not have hours after school and stuff to actully work on BYOND.

Look out for a game to be out in March called "Dungeon Diver" paid for by me, developed by Kunark, DD is designed to be a mix of Ragnarok Online and Diablo 2 combined.

The premise is this, a town is built upon a old dungeon that once belonged to a great and powerful demon overlord.

One day the demon wakes up, and now its up to the players who choose to, to desend the stairs and enter the dungeon.

The dungeon is radnomly generated each time the server starts up or reboots. It generates over 200 floors, of randomly sized floors.

Monsters, Treasure and Bosses are also randomly placed within the dungeon.

Its designed to play much better then most games, and has no verbs at all.

They could take the role of a knight on, or a mage, or a Ninja, the possiblityes of a open ended, classless, raceless system are near endless.

The game has spent over $300.00 of my own money, and has ate up months and months of Kunark's Time.

I hope some time this year, or early next year we will be able to start early beta testing.
I think we'd have a lot more "good" games if some of us were paid to do it. Sadly, material possession does drive us to work harder, I know I'd probably have perfected all my games by now if I was earning money from programming. But because I dont, I only have my spare time to work on games, and even then I dont feel like it all the time.

I'm sure its the same for quite a few people, we know how to make our games good, but its just time, and if we want to bother.
