Ahh very good. I like how big the comment box is. I also like this blend of colors. It's great. :0

Wouldn't you want the rank "Staff" to manage everything. CSS Master is a "self-made rank".
|
Qubic gave me the rank in order to do the CSS. That's all I needed.
Edit: Reduced the filesize of the header. |
Looks good Danny. The picture at the top is kind of meaningless but at least it looks good. :) Have you tried brightening the font colors any to see whether that makes it better or worse? I worry that there might be a bit too much contrast between the bright pic at the top and the black background with dim text.
Actually now that I think about it, I wonder if it would be possible to put a shadow around the actual title text so that it makes it a little easier to read without sacrificing the glitz? Just a thought. |
Thanks Foomer. I tried bright fonts at first, but it looked a bit much too me. After dimming them down I thought it looked much better. However there is always room for improvement.
I only got to spend 10 minutes on the title text as I was in a rush, and it's something I will work on again tomorrow. I'll try getting the actual text to stand out more without losing that smooth feel to it. I appreciate the C&C ^.^ |
I was thinking the same thing. The top picture isn't very necessary. I kept looking at it and looking at it. I just made the conclusions of it being an underwater type thing going on there? Besides that, doing good Danny.

Well, all I had to go on was the name. I just make things look pretty, not make sense. =p
Thanks. |
Hey Danny. A couple of things:
I like the image - it works with the 'pure' thing in the name, you're right there. As it is, tho, the pic makes the whole site heavy to the right. I'd crop the pic so that you remove the extra space on the left and make the brightest structure in the pic centered. You might hafta resize it after the crop to get the same width. The title lettering is good. I like the washed out effect. You might want to make it stronger and more readable by taking the original lettering (without the motion blur(?)) and overlay it over the blurred lettering on a separate layer. You can bring down the opacity to make the two layers a bit more unified, but this would give the strong lettering in front with the blurred behind (and around) it. I really like the 'reflection' image you've got in the top of the main/lower box. It carries the top image over well. If you do recenter the top image, I'd recenter that too. Just suggestions - take 'em or leave 'em. Nice job otherwise. Good to see something different being tried. (PS: I'd probably brighten your dark cyan and white font colors, too) |

WebDev is showing the pic at 1000px wide, so I think I'm seeing the whole thing. Also, do you get the same thing with my CSS? No. That looks fine. Text on right - glowy ball on left. Full silver bar underneath both. |
